Vianna McGugan holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences and has been a teacher, coach, youth director and US Coast Guard Camp Coordinator. She is CPR certified and has her boating license (and has done commercial lobstering). She has been recognized by the Connecticut General Assembly for implementing successful programs.

Roy Humphreys is a native Nicaraguan and Miskito Indian and is bilingual. He has held a certificate in Tourism for seventeen years. He was a Greek Navy Assistant and majored in and is a specialist in Reptology and Herpetology. He has been a commercial fisherman and lobsterman and has his boating license. He is the contact for the orphanage on Ometepe and the mainland. He is the translator for and coordinator of the Foreign Pre-Medical Students Internship Program.
